Shatavari Guggulu is prepared by adding Shuddha Guggul and a small amount of Ghee in a mortar. The ingredients are grounded and then, the fine powders of the other herbs are added to the moisture. Later, Vatakam or round balls of 8 grams each are prepared using this mixture.
INDICATIONS & USES
The usual recommended dose of Shatavari Guggulu is 1 or 2 Vatakam per day. The recommended dose for children is 1/4 to ½ Vatakam per day. Patients should not take more than 4 Vatakam per day. This medicine should be taken twice a day with an equal amount of water or warm milk. Patients are advised to take Shatavari Guggulu on an empty stomach. It is best to take it 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
