Abhayarishta Benefits & Uses

The different conditions that can be treated using this medicine are described below:

Ginger, Mocharasa, and Mishreya used in this preparation can relieve the symptoms of piles. The most common cause of piles is constipation. Repeated straining for stools can result in an increased pressure on the walls of the rectum and anal canal. This leads to the engorgement of the veins in this part of the gut resulting in their protrusion. These veins become lax and may even rupture causing bleeding while passing stools. Abhayarishta can help in treating this by preventing constipation. It eases the passage of stools by softening them and improving the movements of the colon and rectum. This helps in the prevention of piles. It also reduces the symptoms of piles like pain while passing stools, bleeding from the anus, and protrusion of a mass from the anus.

Bloating is the most common symptom of indigestion. It may occur due to the altered microbial flora of the gut. The herbs used in the preparation of Abhayarishta help in improving the healthy microbial flora of the digestive tract thus preventing bloating. Abhayarishta can reduce the gaseous distension of abdomen and provide relief from the disturbing symptoms caused by the pressure exerted by the distended abdomen on the chest such as breathlessness and chest pain. It can also relieve nausea and vomiting caused due to bloating.

Abhayarishta is a powerful Ayurvedic medicine for treating constipation. It works by improving the digestion and increasing the motility of the intestines. It promotes the propulsion of food through the digestive tract and allows for an easy passage of stools. Regular use of this medicine can help in providing relief from the conditions arising due to constipation such as fissure and irritable bowel syndrome.

Improves digestion

Abhayarishta boosts the various digestive functions of the body. It enhances the breakdown of food in the stomach and the intestines and improves the absorption of nutrients. This ensures that the body is supplied with the essential nutrients consumed in the food. It increases the secretion of gastric juices and thus, improves the digestion of proteins in the stomach. It also has a favorable effect on the secretion of insulin in the pancreas thus regulating the carbohydrate metabolism. This action of Abhayarishta is considered highly favorable for the patients with diabetes. It helps them achieve better control over their blood sugar levels. Abhayarishta can help in preventing gastric disorders like peptic ulcers, heartburn, reflux esophagitis, and gastroesophageal reflux diseases by strengthening the muscles of the lower esophageal sphincter and regulating the secretion of acidic juices in the stomach.

Abhayarishta is considered an effective Ayurvedic medication for treating ascites. It helps by preventing the engorgement of the blood vessels in the abdomen and by boosting the functions of the liver. It acts as a hepato-protective agent and protects the liver from the damage caused by the consumption of alcohol. It also prevents the progression of fatty liver diseases thus reducing the risk of cirrhosis that can later lead to ascites. It also prevents the liver disorders like viral and bacterial hepatitis and alcoholic liver disease with the antiviral, antibacterial, and antioxidant actions of the herbs used in this preparation. It destroys the bacteria and viruses that cause hepatitis. It also prevents damage to the liver tissues from the free radicals, alcohol and other toxins.

Difficulty in urination

The herbs present in Abhayarishta are highly effective in relieving painful urination caused by a range of disorders including renal stones, and urinary tract infections. The antibacterial properties of the herbs used in this medicine help to control infections in the urinary tract and thus, provide relief from painful urination. It also acts as an antispasmodic agent and reduces pain caused when a renal stone tries to come down through the urethra.
